Menas Associates and 2FX Treasury, a Dutch financial trade advisory firm, are pleased to announce that our two boutique firms will be working closely in assisting clients in effectively managing political, strategic and financial risks in emerging markets.

Menas Associates, a political and strategic risk consultancy, has been assisting multinational companies to navigate in frontier and emerging markets for over three decades. From helping clients on the very early stages of decision-making (identifying risks, indicating solutions); to advising them on details and intricate matchmaking abilities of business partners; conducting due diligence; and assisting law firms and insurance companies on political risks, commercial and arbitration cases – Menas Associates’ consultancy arm is well established, intellectually diverse and highly regarded by all our clients.

2FX Treasury has in depth experience and a strong track record within the global markets of trade, foreign exchange, risk management, cash management, settlements, pricing and process optimisation. Set up by Kees Lakerveld and René Schilder, who were both formerly of RBS and ABN AMBRO, they have a combination of 40 years’ of supporting international companies and financial institutions to a more efficient process, through tailor made packages and advice. Being able to reduce risk and lower costs for their client is all made possible by their portfolio of extensive international network.

Aside from briefing clients on the political, economic and strategic risks in emerging economies, the collaboration between these two advisory firms will be focused on multifaceted support for companies in countries that face huge transactional threats and difficulties. The combined knowledge of 2FX Treasury and Menas Associates will help all clientele who face issues with international cash management in this rapidly changing and increasingly regulatory time, in such countries that include Nigeria, Egypt, Iran and Argentina.
