Consultancy services:
What is Menas Consulting?
Menas Consulting comprises a wide range of independent strategic risk services
offered by Menas to investors in emerging markets. Menas Consulting projects
address the full range of non-technical risks facing foreign investors
(political,
social and security). They cover all phases of the business cycle from initial
country entry to an eventual successful and profitable withdrawal. No two
consulting projects are identical and vary according to the client's corporate
culture,
risk appetite, and many other factors. We find the optimum way to deliver the
full value of our expertise; whether through research and analysis, personal
briefings, workshops, advice on demand, or operating as a neutral 'Chinese
wall'
between our clients and the indigenous key players. By doing so, we help
companies design an effective strategy for specific countries and projects, as
well as
the tools to manage above-ground risks.
Who are Menas' consultants?
Menas consultants are a group of senior professionals and in-country experts who
work in a number of fields including: diplomacy, risk management, business,
international banking, academia, law and journalism. Our diversity gives us a
profound and detailed understanding of the intersection between business and
in-country strategic risk, and the resultant implications of geopolitical
change on
business.
Where are Menas consultants based?
Our in-house and external consultants - who have specific country and/or
thematic expertise - are based all over the world. In addition each of our
senior staff
and consultants have a stable of confidential in-country sources - many of whom
have worked with Menas for over 20 years. This enables us to hand-pick the best
expert for a specific project rather than relying on intelligent, but less
experienced, regional generalists. All Menas consulting projects are
project-managed
by an in-house consultant to provide a central point of contact to work with
the
client to ensure the business-relevance of each consulting project.
How will Menas Consulting work for me?
We tailor our services to suit the individual needs of each and every client and
do not have any off-the-shelf consultancy reports. When a client comes to us
with a specific and well defined task, problem, or request, we always provide
them
with a fixed quotation and firm deliverables. We will often work with clients
to
design consulting solutions to ensure seamless integration between the approach
we take and the clients' own risk analysis and risk management processes. We
adhere to and strictly uphold our business principles in order to meet and
support
the interests of our clients. For further details about these, please see our
'Business principles' page, which you can find here.
What is the format of Menas Breakfast briefings?
Menas Breakfast briefings entail an hour long seminar, some of which are given
under Chatham House Rules, followed by a detailed Q & A session. These
events
showcase Menas' expertise, are free of charge, and aim to provide a concise but
in-depth look at the countries and regions that we cover.
Who are the speakers?
Our Breakfast Briefing speakers are experts in their specific field or region,
and include Menas core staff plus academics, scholars, journalists and other
experts. They are always keen to answer questions and launch a lively debate.
How do I attend a Menas Breakfast briefing?
Menas Breakfast briefings are by invitation only. You must have a bonafide
interest in Menas Associates and the regions we cover. If you would like to
receive
invitations to these events, or would like more information about them, please
contact us here.
